"Scratches never heal’’ has been inspired by the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States. Things haven’t changed since then. Yet, this novel is an ode to freedom, dignity, and better understanding between people of different cultures and origins. Lately, religious extremism, social ostracism, and xenophobia have been witnessed in various places on our small and yet beautiful planet. The characters in "Scratches Never Heal" do their best to try to understand why their choices are not accepted, even though they are not harming other people’s choices.
